Better-World.dk is owned by Jan Kjær, a Danish journalist, photographer, development specialist and travel guide.

He has lived in Africa for 6 years and has reported from the continent for almost 20 years.

Jan has done communication work and and consultancies for a.o. the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and NGOs like MS/ActionAid Denmark, Danish People´s Aid, Save the Children Denmark, IRCT and Danish Red Cross.

Since 2009 he has been the chairman of The Nairobi Club, the Danish network of development media professionals.

In 2010 Jan wrote the leading Danish guide book on Budapest and Hungary.

In 2011 he guided a group of 5 Danes through Northern Tanzania. 

Jan Kjær speaks English, German, French, quite a lot of Swahili - and of course Danish, his mother tongue.
